- Integration with Communication Platforms: Connect with Microsoft Teams and Slack to analyze team interactions
- Insights and Recommendations: Data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to improve team performance
- AI-Powered Coaching: Access to Basil, our AI coach, for personalized team development guidance (available on paid plans)
2.2 What We Analyze
TeamWeaver analyzes metadata from your team's communications, including:
- Message timestamps, frequency, and patterns
- Channel/team membership and structure
- Interaction patterns between team members
- Meeting participation and engagement
Important: TeamWeaver does NOT store or analyze the actual content of your messages. We only analyze communication metadata to provide insights about team collaboration patterns.
2.3 Service Availability
We strive to provide continuous access to the Services, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Services may be temporarily unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance (we will provide advance notice when possible)
- Emergency maintenance or updates
- Factors beyond our reasonable control (e.g., internet service provider failures, natural disasters)
3. User Accounts and Registration
3.1 Account Creation
To use TeamWeaver, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain and update your account information
- Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
3.2 Organization Accounts
TeamWeaver is designed for organizational use. When you create an account:
- You represent that you have authority to bind your organization to these Terms
- Your organization is responsible for all activities under the account
- You are responsible for managing user access within your organization
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
4. Subscription Plans and Pricing
4.1 Pricing Tiers
TeamWeaver offers multiple pricing tiers:
- Free Plan: Limited features for small teams
- Starter Plan: Basic analytics and insights
- Professional Plan: Advanced analytics, AI coaching, and research-backed recommendations
- Enterprise Plan: Custom solutions with dedicated support

4.2 Payment Terms
For paid plans:
- Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated in these Terms
- We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' advance notice
- You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred
4.3 Free Trial
We may offer free trials for certain plans. Free trial terms:
- Free trials are available once per organization
- We may require payment information to start a trial
- You may cancel anytime during the trial without being charged
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for the selected plan
4.4 Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time:
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You will retain access to paid features until the end of the billing period
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
- If you cancel during a free trial, you will not be charged
4.5 Plan Limits
Each plan includes specific limits on:
- Number of team members
- Number of analyses per month
- Access to premium features
If you exceed your plan limits:
- We may restrict access to certain features
- We may prompt you to upgrade to a higher-tier plan
- We will not delete your data, but analysis functionality may be limited
5. Acceptable Use Policy
5.1 Permitted Use
You may use TeamWeaver only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Permitted uses include:
- Analyzing your organization's team collaboration patterns
- Improving team communication and decision-making
- Accessing insights and recommendations for team development
5.2 Prohibited Conduct
You may NOT:
- Use the Services to violate any laws or regulations
- Use the Services to infringe on others' intellectual property rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or other users' accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services
- Use the Services to transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Services without our written permission
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Services without our written permission
- Analyze teams or organizations without proper authorization
- Use the Services to monitor employees without complying with applicable employment laws
5.3 Consequences of Violation
If you violate these Terms, we may:
- Suspend or terminate your access to the Services
- Remove or disable access to content that violates these Terms
- Report violations to law enforcement if required by law
- Take legal action to protect our rights
6. Integration with Third-Party Platforms
6.1 Microsoft Teams Integration
When you connect TeamWeaver to Microsoft Teams:
- You grant TeamWeaver permission to access metadata from your Teams workspace
- You must have appropriate permissions within your Teams workspace to authorize this integration
- TeamWeaver will only access data you explicitly authorize
- You can revoke TeamWeaver's access at any time through your Microsoft 365 admin panel
6.2 Slack Integration
When you connect TeamWeaver to Slack:
- You grant TeamWeaver permission to access metadata from your Slack workspace
- You must have appropriate permissions within your Slack workspace to authorize this integration
- TeamWeaver will only access data you explicitly authorize
- You can revoke TeamWeaver's access at any time through your Slack workspace settings
6.3 Third-Party Terms
Your use of Microsoft Teams and Slack is governed by their respective terms of service:
- Microsoft Teams: Microsoft's Terms of Service
- Slack: Slack's Terms of Service
We are not responsible for the practices or policies of these third-party platforms.
7. Data Ownership and Privacy
7.1 Your Data
You retain all ownership rights to your data. "Your Data" includes:
- Team member information
- Communication metadata
- Organization information
- Any content you upload to the Services
7.2 Our Use of Your Data
We use Your Data only as described in our Privacy Policy and as necessary to provide the Services. We do not:
- Sell Your Data to third parties
- Use Your Data for purposes unrelated to providing the Services
- Share Your Data except as described in our Privacy Policy
7.3 Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy (available at www.teamweaver.ai/privacy) describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Services, you consent to our Privacy Policy.
7.4 Data Retention
We retain Your Data:

WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING:
- Merchantability: We do not warrant that the Services are suitable for any particular purpose
- Fitness for a Particular Purpose: We do not warrant that the Services will meet your specific requirements
- Non-Infringement: We do not warrant that the Services do not infringe third-party rights
- Accuracy: We do not warrant that the insights, recommendations, or analytics are 100% accurate
- Uninterrupted Service: We do not warrant that the Services will be error-free or continuously available
9.3 Analytics and Recommendations
TeamWeaver provides insights and recommendations based on data analysis, but:
- Recommendations are guidance only, not professional advice
- You are solely responsible for decisions made based on our insights
- We do not guarantee specific outcomes or improvements
- Team dynamics are complex, and results may vary
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 Types of Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect Damages: Lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill
- Consequential Damages: Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Services
- Incidental Damages: Damages arising from circumstances beyond our control
- Special or Punitive Damages: Exemplary or punitive damages of any kind
10.2 Cap on Liability
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED:
- For paid accounts: The amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
- For free accounts: $100 USD
10.3 Exceptions
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
11.1 Your Indemnification Obligation
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TeamWeaver, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of third parties
- Your violation of applicable laws or regulations
- Your Data or content uploaded to the Services
11.2 Our Right to Defend
We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you.
12. Term and Termination
12.1 Term
These Terms begin when you first access the Services and continue until terminated by either party.
12.2 Termination by You
You may terminate these Terms at any time by:
- Canceling your subscription through your account settings
- Discontinuing use of the Services
- Deleting your account
12.3 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services:
- Immediately if you violate these Terms
- With 30 days' notice if we discontinue the Services
- Immediately if required by law or to protect our rights
12.4 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to access and use the Services ends immediately
- You remain responsible for any fees incurred before termination
- We may delete Your Data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., limitations of liability, indemnification) will survive termination
12.5 Data Export
Before terminating your account, you should export any data you wish to retain. We are not responsible for providing access to Your Data after account termination.
13. Compliance with Employment Laws
13.1 Your Responsibility
If you use TeamWeaver to analyze employee communications:
- You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable employment and privacy laws
- You must obtain any required consents from employees
- You must provide any required notices to employees
- You must comply with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
13.2 Permitted Use for Employment Purposes
TeamWeaver is designed to improve team collaboration, not to monitor individual employee performance. You agree:
- Not to use the Services to make adverse employment decisions without additional justification
- To use insights for team development and improvement purposes
- To comply with all applicable labor and employment laws in your jurisdiction
13.3 No Employment Advice
TeamWeaver does not provide legal or HR advice. Our recommendations are based on collaboration data analysis, not employment law. Consult with legal counsel regarding employment-related decisions.
14. Export Control and Sanctions
You represent that you are not:
- Located in a country subject to U.S. or EU sanctions
- Listed on any U.S. or EU government list of prohibited or restricted parties
You agree to comply with all applicable export control laws and regulations.
15. Dispute Resolution
15.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15.2 Informal Resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to first contact us at legal@teamweaver.ai to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith.
15.3 Arbitration Agreement
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and TeamWeaver agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration, except:
- You may bring small claims court actions if they qualify
- We may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement
Arbitration Terms:
- Arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules
- Arbitration will take place in New York, New York or another mutually agreed location
- The arbitrator's decision is final and binding
- You waive your right to a jury trial
- You waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit
15.4 Class Action Waiver
YOU AND TEAMWEAVER AGREE THAT DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS ONLY. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.
15.5 Exceptions to Arbitration
Either party may bring a lawsuit in court to:
- Seek injunctive relief for intellectual property infringement
- Resolve disputes that cannot be arbitrated under applicable law
If arbitration is found to be unenforceable, you agree to exclusive jurisdiction in the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York.
16. General Provisions
16.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other agreements referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and TeamWeaver regarding the Services.
16.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect, and an enforceable term will be substituted to reflect our intent as closely as possible.
16.3 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
16.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction, including to a successor in a merger or acquisition.
16.5 Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, pandemics, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.

We may provide notices to you:

- By posting a notice on our website or within the Services
- By other reasonable means

16.9 U.S. Government Users
If you are a U.S. government entity, the Services are "Commercial Items" as defined in FAR 2.101, and are provided with only those rights as are granted to all other users under these Terms.
